Luncheon Held to Celebrate Air2 & Power Line Services Apprenticeship Class Advancing Toward Graduation
Date: September 2, 2018

PLH Group and Air2 are proud to celebrate the accomplishments of five apprentices who have completed the classroom segment of the PLH Group Apprenticeship Program for electrical linemen. This first of two sections of the program consists of successfully completing 576 hours of classroom study taught by Northwest Lineman College. The apprenticeship class– comprised of three Air2 employees and two Power Line Services employees– was celebrated at a luncheon on Friday, June 15.
Kathy Williamson, Director of Apprenticeships, works alongside the students, providing logistical and moral support throughout the program. Her primary objective is to ensure that the apprentices have the needed resources and remain on track to successfully complete the rigorous four-year program.
“It has been my pleasure to work with this apprenticeship class, supporting them throughout the first part of this challenging program,” said Kathy. “I was delighted to watch them achieve this milestone and look forward to supporting them through the remainder of the program. Their tenacity and determination are evident, and I can’t wait for them reach their next milestone– receiving their Journeyman certifications.”
Prior to receiving their distinguished U.S. Department of Labor Journeyman certifications, the apprentices must now complete the second and final section of the program, which entails performing 8,000 hours of dedicated on-the-job training.
Congratulations to these hardworking, skillful apprentices. PLH Group and Air2 support your efforts and look forward to celebrating with you upon graduation!
