04 Oct Certified Utility Safety Professionals Added to Team
Matt Compher, VP of Safety and Training for PLH Group announced the successful completion of the Certified Utility Safety Professional exam by several members of the Safety Team. The exam, also known as the CUSP is a challenging exam that tests on a broad range of knowledge including regulations, competencies and task directed skills.
Prior to qualifying for the exam, the participants must have a solid understanding of safety standards, incident prevention, hazard identification, leadership skills and operations.
Matt Compher commented, “This is a huge accomplishment for PLH Group and its entities to have so many members of our team complete this certification. We have a highly talented team of professionals and the results of this exam demonstrate their capabilities.”
PLH Group added 14 more Certified Utility Safety Professionals to their existing team, which includes Power Line Services, Auger Services, Air2 and PLS Energy Division.
Mr. Compher serves as Vice President – Safety & Training of PLH Group, Inc. Mr. Compher currently holds the Certified Utility Safety Professional CUSP), Construction Health and Safety (Technician (CHST) and the Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) credentials.
