The United States Department of Labor (DOL) encourages every workplace to have a safety and health program in place year-round, however, once a year it brings special awareness with ‘Safe and Sound Week.’  This year it will be recognized from the 12^th – 18^th of August, 2019 and PLH Group and all its utility infrastructure construction companies will be participating again.

PLH Group will be paying special attention to several key areas. One is distracted driving which is more dangerous than drunk driving and equally as dangerous as drowsy driving. With drunken driving, the driver has SOME reaction and therefore a chance to rectify the situation. With distracted and drowsy driving,  reaction time falls to zero because the driver is 100% absorbed in something else. As our world gets ‘busier’ and more temptations arise around us, PLH Group is touting ‘safety first’ more than ever and encourages everyone to think about the consequences of distracted driving. Not only will it save your life, but most likely others as well.
