Sound Advice About Distracted Driving
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) encourages every workplace to have a safety and health program in place year-round; however, once a year it brings special awareness with “Safe + Sound Week.” This year Safe + Sound Week is recognized August 12–18, and PLH Group and all its energy infrastructure construction companies are participating again.
PLH Group will focus on several key areas. One is distracted driving, which is more dangerous than drunk driving and equally as dangerous as drowsy driving. With drunk driving, the driver has SOME reaction and, therefore, a chance to rectify the situation. With distracted and drowsy driving, reaction time falls to zero because the driver is 100% absorbed in something else.
