Power Line Services Provides More than Power Restoration for Hurricane Ida Victims

Category 4 Hurricane Ida battered southern Louisiana then continued to cause destruction as it blew up the east coast. Residents along its path were – and some still are – without homes, power, and basic necessities. PLH Group companies – Power Line Services, Air2, TESSCO Energy Services, and Edison Power Constructors – immediately responded to the impacted areas to restore electric power to residents. But even weeks after the storm made landfall, the need is still tremendous. Power Line Services (PLS) is focused not only on restoring power, but also restoring the communities impacted by the hurricane with a food and supply donation to Louisiana’s Terrebonne Parrish.
Terrebonne Parish consists of some of the hurricane’s hardest hit communities, including Houma, Pointe-aux-Chenes, Grand Caillou, Dularge, Chauvin, and Gibson. The PLS donation was split up into multiple loads – one for each of these bayou communities. The donation consists of the most needed items – such as water, diapers, car seats, protein bars, oatmeal, green beans, paper products, and cleaning products – totaling over $30,000 of aid.
PLS is partnering with Hache Grant Association (HGA) to distribute the donation based on need. HGA is facilitating specialized initiatives to ensure the donation meets specific needs to ensure the survival, safety, and comfort of each community.
Power Line Services – along with fellow PLH Group companies Air2, TESSCO Energy Services, and Edison Power Constructors – has been performing storm restoration in southern Louisiana since immediately after Hurricane Ida hit on August 29, 2021. PLS is still performing storm repair work in Louisiana and will not leave until their work is finished.
