OSHA QuickTakes Newsletter Drills Down on Best Safety Practices
Date: September 28, 2019

In 2018, OSHA began adding ‘Did You Know?’ messages to its’ popular QuickTakes newsletter providing 240,000 twice-monthly subscribers with valuable safety resources. First issued in 2008, QuickTakes quickly became the go-to source for industry safety and regulatory information.
In a recent issue, ‘Did You Know?’ features the Electric Transmission and Distribution Strategic Partnership case study attributing PLH Group and other ET&D industry leaders with successful implementation of the partnership’s best safety practices.
ET&D industry partnership members developed health and safety programs protecting electric power distribution industry workers from hazards. The study provides examples of educational programs and best practices to prevent injuries.
In 2004, the ET&D Partnership was formed as a collaborative effort of industry leaders to protect workers and improve safety in the electric line construction industry. It is the only Electrical Transmission & Distribution National OSHA Partnership where members collaboratively team up to prevent injuries through education and best practices. PLH Group, an electrical infrastructure contractor, is one of 15 ET&D construction contractors comprising the partnership. Additional members include trade associations and the IBEW.
PLH Group, an electric power, oil and gas services company, is committed to the safety of power line and other energized electrical services workers as an OSHA partner and through its’ companywide PREVENT® safety program.
