Every year, the statistics are startling – more than 13 million kids go hungry at some point during the year in the United States. During the holidays, a time that is supposed to be joyful, it is particularly heart-breaking.

In Irving, TX, where PLH Group is located, over 3,000 kids go home each weekend without a meal in their immediate future. In response, PLH Group took action and became part of the solution knowing that behind the statistics were real children, who could be real hungry. Through the Irving Schools Foundation, an organization that seeks to provide financial resources to maximize and enhance academic success, PLH Group donated $1,500-worth of food to the worthy cause. With the help of a local grocery store, they picked up three pallets of food to be distributed through Irving Schools Foundation.

Without programs, foundations and organizations like the Irving Schools Foundation, children in the USA would have even less of a chance to experience all the joy that children deserve to feel, and the energy to do it, during this magical time of year. Leading by example in the community is the way PLH Group will continue to support children and their families; sharing the joy by giving the gift of food.
