Tropical Storm Isaias is one of the strongest storms to hit New Jersey in recent memory. Meteorologists confirmed two tornadoes and are investigating a third that reportedly touched down as a result of the storm’s strong winds, which reached over 100 mph. Over 1 million customers were without power, but PLH Group crews are working diligently and safely to repair lines and restore service.

Lines of utility trucks filled with linemen, equipment, and supplies traveled from across the country to assist PSE&G and First Energy Corp. in restoring electricity to the hundreds of thousands of New Jersey residents currently without power. A staging ground for power restoration operations was set up at Farmingdale State College on Long Island.
