A Winter’s Bounty – PLH Group Employees Volunteer at Irving Cares
Date: February 23, 2019

On January 31st, the Women’s Resource Group of PLH Group—a Texas company that provides energy infrastructure solutions to the North American electric and pipeline industries—sent more than fifteen volunteers from their offices to a worthwhile charity in their neighborhood; Irving Cares. The charity Irving Cares is a local organization that prepares and distributes food to people, as well as other services, to those who are in crisis or simply need a bridge to get through challenging times.
Part of the gift is the comradery that has been built between Irving Cares’ volunteers and PLH Group’s volunteers who, working in two shifts, showed up ready to give their time and energy and even brought the staff at Irving Cares lunch. PLH Group volunteers worked in the food pantry filling food orders, stocking the shelves, sorting groceries, and prepping packages for Irving residents.
The volunteer coordinator at the charity called the following day to thank the volunteers from PLH Group for their support by saying, “…they were the nicest, most productive group she has worked with in a long time…”
Many thanks to the staff at Irving Cares for their community outreach programs, PLH Group staff is pleased to lend a helping hand.
