PLH Group Congratulates Power Line Services for Achieving AEP Safety Milestone
Date: September 2, 2020
Though the energy-focused work of PLH Group and its 11 entities vary in specialization, one constant is clear– their dedication to safety. Power Line Services — a PLH Group company — was recently recognized by American Electric Power (AEP) Transmission Construction after qualifying for the AEP Transmission Zero Harm Safety Club.
AEP Transmission Construction contract companies are eligible for the Zero Harm Safety Club by reaching pre-determined company safety milestones. PLS was recognized for the 69-kV Club after 69,000 man-hours worked without a First Aid or OSHA Recordable incident.

“Congratulations to the Power Line Services team for being recognized by AEP Transmission Construction,” said Elsie Bentley, PLH Group Vice President of Safety, Health, and Environmental. “PLH Group’s PREVENT safety program sets a safety standard for all of our employees. However, it is the responsibility of each individual employee to create a safe work culture on all utility construction project sites. I am very proud of our Power Line Services team for being recognized by AEP Transmission Construction after achieving such an impressive safety milestone.”
Power Line Services is a leading provider of high voltage transmission, substation, and distribution construction and maintenance services. The organization provides energy services to major utility companies, municipalities, electrical engineering firms, and renewable energy developers throughout the United States.
