Another Successful Safe + Sound Week
Date: August 17, 2021

2,156 registered organizations throughout the United States focused on emphasizing and improving – some even creating – a workplace safety and health program during Safe + Sound Week from August 9-14.
2,156. Wow!
Each with their own unique approach, these organizations took a step to not only enhance their own workplace safety culture, but promote safe work throughout the nation. PLH Group and its business units partnered with industry organizations for 2021 Safe + Sound Week.
Safe + Sound Week is not a new event for PLH Group companies. They have observed it for the past several consecutive years. But they still kept the focus fresh this year by recognizing jobsite safety alongside industry partners: Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Edison Electric Institute (EEI), and Electrical Transmission and Distribution (ET&D).
“This year we followed the lead of OSHA, EEI, and ET&D for Safe and Sound Week. As top industry organizations, their safety focuses directly apply to our power line and pipeline work,” said Vice President of Safety, Health, and Environmental Elsie Bentley. “We brought our crews together to discuss crucial topics, like the importance of a qualified observer and hazard identification and mitigation. By encouraging worker participation, fantastic conversations led to great ideas on how we can continually enhance our already solid safety culture.”
As a full-service power line construction, pipeline construction, and specialty contractor, PLH Group values the safety of all workers, as well as individuals throughout the jobsite. The organization prioritizes safe work while delivering quality, energy-focused solutions to customers throughout the United States and into Canada.
PLH Group took the opportunity during OSHA’s 2021 Safe + Sound Week to strengthen industry partnerships while enhancing personal commitments to safe work practices.
