Southeast Directional Drilling (“SEDD”), a PLH Group, Inc. company, received the first-place Arthur T. Everham Safety Award for companies with 200,000 to 599,000 man-hours worked during the Distribution Contractors Association (“DCA”) Annual Convention held in Nassau, Bahamas. SEDD is a directional drilling company that provides expert pipeline solutions across a variety of industries. The award is presented annually to companies with a clear focus on safety and deeply-rooted safety programs.

The DCA’s enviable award was established in 1986 to honor the late Arthur T. Everham, a safety advocate who was actively involved with the DCA. The recognition is awarded to companies based on man-hours worked, factoring in the number of OSHA lost workday cases, restricted duty days, first-aid cases, and fatalities, as well as documented safety programs, drug-testing programs, and the company’s Experience Modification Rate.

“This has been one of the best safety years we’ve had in the history of SEDD,” said Director of Safety and Transportation Dana Heieie. “This isn’t just an award for people only in the office or people only in the field. This is an award for the entire company.”

This is not the first time a PLH Group company was honored with this prestigious safety recognition. Since it’s establishment in 1986, the Arthur T. Everham Safety Award was presented to SEDD’s sister company, Snelson Companies, Inc.,.
